a little bit about me
(and all of this…)

I have always been drawn to magic and ritual. As a child, I wrote my own spell books, ground leaves and petals into potions with rocks, left offerings and letters for the fairies, and traced circles of protection in the dirt around me...
During the lockdowns, when life felt heavy and I was going through a difficult divorce, I turned inward and reconnected with another side of myself. I began learning tarot, and once I had gained confidence, started doing readings for some of my friends and family. What began as a quiet way to heal soon became a joy I practiced daily. I then found myself creating oils, mists, candles, and small ritual pieces to bring a little light to those I loved. Over time, the positive responses made me realise I wanted to share these offerings more widely, and so The Windswept Witch was born: a space for handmade, bespoke creations and readings for anyone who feels called to bring a little magic into their everyday life.
I use the term “witch” not in the sense of costumes or clichés, but as a way to describe someone who works with intention and awareness. Historically, witches were simply people who did things a little differently. Resilient, resourceful people who were also connected to the natural world. I do not see witchcraft as wands and broomsticks (though that is fun!), but as intention brought to life: the quiet, mindful practice of shaping energy, connecting with the world, and finding meaning and wonder in the mundane.
To me, magic works much like the placebo effect. Belief, intention, and attention can influence perception, mood, and energy. Adopting a witchy way of life is all about adding beauty, joy, and purpose to your day and creating small, meaningful moments that shift how we experience the world. Using the title “witch” is my way of honouring my lineage and carrying forward intention, healing, and a deep amount of care through what I create. I describe myself as an eclectic practitioner, blending divination, herbalism, kitchen witchery, and intention based craft.
Apart from that, I am very much a normal person with everyday interests. I love movies, delicious food, and baking. I crochet, write, and enjoy any form of art. Travelling and experiencing different cultures is one of my greatest joys. I worked in television for many years, telling stories and capturing moments, and that love of creation and getting to know people inside out in order to tell their stories is still at the heart of who I am and what I love.
I was born in Mzansi (South Africa) but now live on Cammeraygal land of the Eora Nation (Sydney, Australia). No matter where I am, I always make it a priority to honour and respect the land, connect with nature, and root any my practice in the energy and cycles that surround me. I am deeply grateful as an immigrant for the journey that brought me here, and for all the parts of me, the cultures, experiences, and ancestry, that shape who I am today.
That is also how The Windswept Witch got its name. Life can be messy and unpredictable, (much like me!) and I wanted something that embraced that wildness. I come from places that are not perfect but hold profound beauty and meaning. My hair is wild and impossible to control, and often the first thing people notice about me. Although it drives me a little mad, it feels symbolic of who I am. A little untamed, a bit mystical, but still deeply human.
Everything I create here is meant to feel like a gift, not just another thing you buy. I have always thought that the best presents are ones that had a lot of thought put in. There's a reason why gifts handmade by the people we love or renowned artisans hold so much value. I've also loved anything personalised, perhaps because as a child, I found it hard to find my name on any pens or books in a store as it's not one that is super common these days. So I endeavoured to do something a little different with my work. Every piece you'll find here is bespoke and made for no one else in the world but you. Every oil, mist, candle, or reading is shaped by your story, your energy, and your intention. Even my signature Golden Sovereign Oil (the only blend I will repeat production of) is subtly adjusted for its keeper, even if its just left to sit under a moon that will help it work for you. Nothing here is mass produced or left gathering dust; every creation exists because it was wanted, needed, and called into being by you.
My hope is that what you find here brings wonder, joy, connection, and a little spark of magic into your life.
With warmth and whimsy,
